Captain Muhammad
Iqbal, Pakistani member of Pak-China K-2 EXPEDITION
2002 died on K2 on Monday, 22 July, 2002. Captain
Iqbal died while descending from camp-2 to camp-1 due
to fix rope cutting.
The team announced
the finish of the expedition. The Team reached a
height of above 8000 meters during the last attempt
but failed to scale peak due to bad weather.
