Mazur's Kangchenjunga
Spring 2002
Dispatch
March 8th, 2002: This morning, we woke up
around 9 am and it was sunny and cold -10 degrees
centigrade. Most everyone had a headache, so we
decided to take a rest day. Some members,
including Jean-Christophe, Richard Fullerton,
Andrew Bruske, and Micheal Doyle, went for a walk.
After laying around in the morning, several of us
including Martha Johnson, Jon Otto, Dan Mazur,
Pemba, Pinso, and others worked to pack and
organize our food and medical supplies before
going to bed. The cooks, are Samding, Pubu
Tsering, aided by the local nomad Chungda, have
been producing amazing food. That night it snowed
3 centimeters and was a bit warmer -5 degrees
centigrade.
Thank
you very much. Cheers for now. Yours
Sincerely, Daniel Mazur from http://www.SummitClimb.com
