without oxygen plans Kazakhstan
Kangchenjunga Spring 2001 expedition. Our team plan to
go in Nepal for attempt to Kangchenjunga from the
South-West face. It means, that we will climb
from the Yalung glacier.

Update
4/3/2002: Hello, EverestNews.com!
Now
our team is already in Katmandu - during the
preparation of the last things for our Kangchenjunga
expedition. We plan to reach the summit in the middle
of May by classical SW-face route. The Leader of
expedition is Mr. Ilinskiy, also it include 7 other
members. The weather in Tibetan plateau is still bad
with snow falling - Mr. Ang Tshering Sherpa was in
Lhasa and returned back yesterday. When he flew above
the Himalayas he saw lots of snow. Tomorrow afternoon
we provide a briefing in the ministry of tourism of
the Nepal kingdom. Then we will start around evening
to Taplejung by bus. From there our caravan will carry
around 800 kg of expedition supplies until Base Camp
(5600).

5/27/02: Namaste, EverestNews.com!
I
am in Katmandu. I am still situated here until the
29th of May. Now I have the very big pleasure to send
you my best wishes. Our team had normal success in the
Kangchenjunga summit. Everyone of our members reached
the top in the classical style via the classical route
from the Yalung glacier. We climbed in two groups: on
5/13 and on 5/14. The first of the members who achieved
the summit was Denis Urubko, Pivtsov Vassiliy, Serguey
Brodskiy and Maxut Zhumayev. We made our chance at
15.10 o'clock. In the second group, our members were
Alexey Raspopov, Serguey Lavrov and Damir Molgatchev.
It happened at 11.30 o'clock. It was a 100 percent
success. Together with us were 2 Korean climbers + 1
Sherpa, and 2 Czech expedition members. Denis Urubko
