The
oldest Man to Summit Everest is now Tomiyasu
ISHIKAWA !

On
May 17th, Mr. Tomiyasu ISHIKAWA (65yrs) reached
the Summit of Everest via the normal North Ridge
Route. This is his second Summit of Everest and
makes him the oldest man to Summit Everest
breaking the Record of American Sherman Bull who
was 64 when he reached the Summit of
Everest. |

Mr.
Tomiyasu ISHIKAWA, a sporting Goods Shop owner in
Japan, was born in Aichi Prefecture on Nov 11th, 1936.
He has previously reached the Summits of Ch Oyu (91),
Everest (94), Dhaulagiri (94), Manaslu (96), and G2
(98)! He is a member of the Japanese Alpine Club. He
formed the Hekiryo club in Kariya when he was 22. At
29 he entered the sporting good business, Hotaka
Sports, with a store in Kariya featuring in Mountain
climbing equipment. He climbed Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri and
Manaslu in Autumn attempts of the mountains. He joined
the Silver Turtles club in Japan for climber over 50
and led the Autumn Dhaulagiri expedition to the top!
Mr.
Jun YAMADA from Japan, 23yrs old, also reached the
Summit on May 17th via the North Side of the Mountain.
