Now an Unpleasant News
One member of our expedition, Ukrainian Hidden Peak
Expedition Mr. Pestrikov Vladimir between camp-I and base camp has passed
away, his dead body has been rescued yesterday from camp-I. There were two
more climbers with him but they are fine and out of danger. One of his
partners was rescued and brought to Skardu with the dead body. Mr. Pestrikov's
dead body is on the way to Islamabad and we are in contact with the Ukrainian
embassy in Islamabad, we have also reserved one box to keep the dead body
until it is not taken out of the country. One of our guides from Skardu is
also coming with the body and he has called us from Abbottabad which is about
three hours drive away from Islamabad. Now we are leaving to hospital where we
have reserved the box. Essar Karim, Adventure Tours Pakistan
