  Japan Himalayan Association Passu Peak Expedition 2003 and other news 9/2003


 

News:
 
A Japanese died in Passu peak CII his body is recovered and they are now trying to bring it down, he died while all four members are trying to come down from Summit he fell ... (Mr. Takahashi Poshio, died on Passu Peak.
 
There are more then 80 trekking permits have been issued to different trekking parties. and hopefully it will cross the figure of 100 permit by the end of this trekking season.
 
Tochigi Spantik expedition 2003 has successfully climbed Spantik Peak on 30/7/03 by putting two of their members on top including a 61 years old Momosama, Atsuko 40 years, however kitamura, and Atsuko cannot make the summit bid.
 
Toyama Spantik expedition 2003 has successfully climbed Spantik Peak on 12/8/03 by putting three of their members on top including Mr. Shin Nagasaka 21 years old, Yukio Ueda 36 years old, Hayato Omori 20 years old, however Mr. Isamu Taga 61 years old can not make the summit.
 
Mr. Mori Spantik expedition 2003 is at base camp trying to make his way from Japanese route, He tried earlier this season to summit Spantik but could not got to the top due bad weather, this time he has four strong high porters to help him with the summit.
 
A International expedition including 9 Iranian and one British one German lady are also at South East Ridge base camp (ABC) trying their luck to summit Spantik. Until I leave the base camp on 19 August they have establish camp II.
