The excavation of the Hillary and Tenzing's High camp.
It all started last year when Paul mentioned to Mr. Washburn that his dream was to excavate the camp. Mr. Washburn, picked up the phone and called Sir Edmund in New Zealand while Paul stood there ! Mr. Hillary told them of the location of the high camp, located in an extremely dangerous but secret location on Everest.
Paul believes they left "everything there" when they wanted simply to "get down" after reaching the Summit of Everest in 1953. This camp is the highest camp ever known to be placed on Everest. Reaching the camp will require experienced climbers like Paul and Andrew Lock and much with care taken. The camp is not on the route taken by today's climbers, which is why the camp has not been found to date. Sir Edmund Hillary, has given Paul his approval to excavate the camp.
