"Hello EverestNews Readers!

Namaste there... I am back at Base Camp after going up through Khumbu Icefall for the second time. This time I went up to carry an extra tent, sleeping bag, stove and fuel to my camp 2 at 6400 meters. I got pinned in  my camp 1 tent by the snowstorm for 2 nights before I got to 6400 meters. I went even higher this time, up to 6600 meters where the Face begins. Anyways my camp 1 at 6100 meters is available for rent...nice view...huge lot, with lots of snow and ice...a nice crevasse right next to the tent...can be used as toilet:) Now I am back to Base Camp to get some rest...rest at 5400 meters, where you have only 2/3 of oxygen in the atmosphere compared lets say to Burbank, CA....but anyways this is what we got here...have to live with that...Now about my plans for the weekend :)

I am thinking about hiking down to Gorak Shep (4 hours round trip) for a couple of cans of "soda"... I was dreaming about a cold can of "soda" while coming down the Icefall yesterday...as you can see ,we don't need much to be happy here...:) Come to think of... how far am I ready to hike on my rest day, lets say to get together with my wife and have..."soda"...I'll
go for 10 hours hike... just kidding honey...you know I am ready to hike around the whole world just to have...a can of "soda" with you :) Anyways I need a few days of rest now...Later, Ray.

P.S. I miss everybody and everything I have in my regular life...but then somebody has to climb these mountains...why me :)
