2002 PEACE CLIMB TO PAKISTAN'S KARAKORUM RANGE

The Japanese have reached camp3, until then the highest of any other expedition.

The Spanish team of Jordi, Jordi and Mikel, have abandoned their attempt to climb via the polish route, after a very large avalanche swept away their camp2 very nearly missing them. They were able to recover some of the equipment and are looking to try another route.

The Romanian team, will wait another 5 days and will then make a  decision to abandon.

Henry Todd's team has sent two of its members here to Broad Peak to  acclimatize since no one has really had any high altitude time on K2...
