Broad
Peak Winter 2003 Expedition

| Update 2/26/2003:
Silvio phoned, At the
BC of Broad Peak the bad weather continues. All
the climbers are anxious to try to go up as the
8th of March (it's the date they have to clear out
by) is coming fast. In the condition that they are
at this moment, which is without most of the
equipment which was blow away last week, they
absolutely need, at least 4 days of good weather
to have a shot at the summit in "Alpine Style".
Today they received the last report of forecasts
and it seems that on Monday there is a small
chance that winds might recede but their question
is for how long? The only thing that they can do
is just to wait and hopefully, after so long time,
have the chance to see for awhile the sun in the
sky or at least hear the hurricane winds stop....
As usual, in every expedition it is the weather
condition that decides the final result. Let's
wait to see what will be happen.....
