EverestNews.com, Our team successfully
climbed Shishapangma(8046) in 10/25/02 at 11.34 a.m.
It's happened at the end of season in strong winds,
that covered the mountain. First we make
acclimatization assent to 6900 - in the plateau, from
where we come down for rest. Next push we went to
7100, and from this (after 3 days waiting of pause in
storm) by normal route we reached the Middle summit,
pass it, and by snow ridge arrive to the Main summit.
We spend 11 hours from last camp, in next 4
hours everybody successfully come down. Where was Vassiliy Pivtsov, Maxut Zhumayev, Alexey Raspopov and
me.
