Lhotse 2003 Expeditions and News

Update: Ivan Vallejo reached the summit of Lhotse (8511 mts), today

Monday 26th of May 2003 Hour he reached the summit: 10H30.

This is his 6th 8000 meters summit!

The Following 3 members & 1 sherpa sirdar of "2003 Korean Lhotse Expedition" team have been successful to climb the summit of Mt. Lhotse (8516m.) on 11th May. 2003 at 11:00 AM. They had started for summit from camp IV at 3:00 AM. It is also reported that other group of the team have planned to go to the summit tomorrow.

The 12 members of "2003 Korean Lhotse Expedition" team was permitted to climb 8516 Meter high Mt. Lhotse from West Face for the period of seventy five days from 8 April 2003 under the leadership of Mr. Sang Mo Chung (49 Yrs), Teacher from Dong Susung Gu, Dae gu city, Republic of  Korea.

The Following 5 members & 3 sherpas of "Tokyo University of Agriculture Alpine Club Everest/Lhotse Expedition" team have been successful to climb the summit of Mt. Lhotse (8516m.) on 10th May. 2003.

The Following 2 members & 2 Sherpa of "International Lhotse Expedition" team have been successful to climb the summit of 8516m.high Mt. Lhotse on 20 May 2003 at 09:15 AM.
