The North Face of Nuptse: Willie and Damian Benegas Dispatch Two | |||

| Dispatch Two: Sorry about the lack of emails or news from our Adventure, but technology has is down side some times. Our computer complete crash and is not working any longer- so now I got the chance to get the computer of Edurne to work.
Where to
start? Once departed from US and having almost
everything done including the last minute package of
gear deliver on the last day before we where due to
depart. Damian arrived in to KTM March 25 and started
the whole organization of gear and paper work to have
the permit, dealing with the L.O.. Every year they
what more money! By March 28 the whole group arrived,
Willie and Damian are going for the North face of
Nuptse, a new route up the North Butress and the rest;
Edurne Pasaban, Ivan Vallejo, Jon Goycochea and
another guy from Ecuador are going to climb Lhotse.
March 30 the team departed from KTM to Luckla and damian stayed at Ktm for the last minute paper work.
April 1 Damian departed from
KTM streight to Namche and join the the team from there was the normal
aproach to BC.
April 8 we arrived at bc and
started the organization of bc, set up all the lighting system and make sure
that all the tents sites are good enough for the 40 days plus that we will
be camping.
April 9 more organization
April 10 we did our first
carry to C1 and took a look at our route "the snake" et look so big and
long, but overall a dream route.
