K2/Chogori Winter 2003

That was our home. As I am sending these pictures, the struggle to save the tents in which we sleep continues. The upper camps (III and IV) on K2 have probably ceased to exist. Unfolded tents could not have withstood such a hurricane.

The battle is lost. The white roofing of the dining room tent covers the shreds of the frames that were once supporting it.
